 Order a whole or ½ hog and Save $$$

We are taking bulk pork orders for delivery in Spring/Summer of 2022.

When ordering, 1 = 1/2 hog; 2 = whole hog; 3 = 1-1/2 hog; 4 = 2 whole hogs, etc.

Bulk orders allow custom selection of cuts, you save money and your meat is processed and packaged as you like. Bulk pork pricing of $9.00/pound includes cut/wrap/freeze. Smoking and other special processing is extra. Whole hogs average 160-200 pounds and the hanging weight and yield per hog is about 110-150 pounds.  A half hog order, depending on cuts desired, requires about 3 cubic feet of freezer space.

To schedule your order, check with us for availability [(540) 828-2288], complete a cut sheet to inform the slaughterhouse how you would like your pork cut and packaged, we will take that with us when processing.  We are happy to help and guide you through this process.

A $150.00 deposit is required to place your order and schedule the processing of your order.  When orders are ready, customers have seven days to pickup their orders before extra freezer storage fees apply.  Alternatively, FCF can ship your order to you, however, pickup, packaging and shipping charges are extra and not included in the price.

Fawn Crossing Farms (FCF) is committed to raising our animals in a respectful, humane, ecological manner, including the slaughter process, which is one of the many reasons why we choose local processors.  Unlike large indoor pork CAFO operations which raise pigs indoors on concrete floors, our animals always have access to shelter, clean bedding, clean water, open pasture, shaded forest, fresh air, sunshine and the choice to be indoors or outdoors.  FCF believes animals are not just commodities, like us they are living creatures on this earth and sacrifice their lives for us so that we may live, they deserve our respect and care in return.

Farm Shares/Memberships

Farm shares/memberships are available for our goat products (raw milk & cheeses).  Shares/memberships can either be defined in the traditional way as a set amount of products per month, or be customizable and flexed to meet your needs.  The legal necessity (at least in Virginia) of farm shares applies only to the selling of raw milk products aged less than 60 days. FCF farm share members receive FCF products not advertised and not available to the general public, including home baked breads, pies, fruits, raw milk specialty goat cheeses and other products.

Our farm membership customers understand and appreciate the food quality differences of pasture raised animals as Mother Nature intended. They understand that fresh raw goat milk is far superior to other milks available with the market price of raw goat milk reflecting that difference. They also appreciate that GOS heritage raised pork has no comparison in quality and taste to  the commodity market CAFO raised pork. GOS pasture raised heritage pork is the preferred breed of pork served at the British Royal Family’s table. The chicken and duck products both meat and eggs are rich in protein with a deeper flavor and brighter in color than what is available on the grocery store shelves.
